The Comco „AIRLESS“ nozzle whirlaway greatly rationalises airless spray operations. Down times and operational interruptions due to nozzle clogging are vastly reduced.
By simply turning the whirlaway lever, clogging is removed within seconds and operations may be continued with virtually no interruption at all.

Instructions for the assembly and dismantling of whirlaways for
cleaning purposes or when exchanging individual components.

Caution
Depressurise spray unit and pistol. Set spray pistol safety latch to „SAVE“ before removing the whirlaway component.
Attaching to the spray pistol
Insert nylon gasket -8- into the adapter of the whrilaway and tighten. Loosen retaining nut -1-, place whirlaway/nozzle slot in the desired position and re-tighten retaining nut -1-.
Removing the ball nozzle
Remove screw -10- and lever -9-. Unscrew nut -1- from adapter -7- and remove O-ring -6- nylon sealing -5-, nylon sealing -2,1- and ball nozzle from the nozzle body -2-. Do not use any hard or sharp objects as they could damage the ball and the hardmetal nozzle tip.
Reassembly
Clean and inspect all parts for damage or wear, replace as necessary. Insert nut -1- and sealing -2,1- (with bevel side pointing to ball) into body -2-. Insert ball so that the square axis protrudes from the upper bore-hole of the body. Put nylon ring -5- with bevel side pointing to ball on to the ball. Slide O-ring -6- over the end of adapter -7- and secure all parts.
Note
When connecting the parts, make sure that the O-ring cannot fall off, then position the ball and tighten the whirlaway so that the small lever points in spraying direction. |
